     former mix mag hack richard moonboots, who claims to have first    
     coined the phrase 'trip hop', steps into the shoes of ambient      
     maestro and old mate phil mison here, to compile the latest        
     downbeat compilation for soundcolors.                              
     apparently proud of the fact he's never been to ibiza (could he be 
     scared of san an. lager louts?) the equally proud northerner       
     earned his djing spurs playing alongside justin robertson "playing 
     eclectic before trendy cockneys                                    
     got into it," as he puts it. here he continues his clectic trip,   
     mixing lush downtempo house cuts alongside chill out grooves from  
     the likes of migs & jell and street life originals. avoiding any   
     big name tracks at all, moonboots selects and sequences with       
     transparent pleasure, creating in the process a complete 60 minute 
     slice of musical cool. 'a genuine tonic rather than another        
     'chilling it laaarge in ibeefa, big tunes by numbers, mix by       
     computer job', as the press release puts it, soundcolors 4 is a    
     veritable
