what is mik.musik.!.? mik.musik.!. is the record label, very small
one, run by wojt3k kucharczyk with cheerfull companionship of
piotrek po│oz and bartek kujawski. acts on the borderline between
unofficial and official culture, preferes to create a new system,
feels no lack of self-character. mik.!. has become known from its
music all the time avoiding easy associations, preference for
nontypical actions and unusal publishing and releasing ideas, great
care about covers, activity and uncompromise, provoking "scenes" to
think. media is not important, medium as well, important is
content, quality of the thought, quality of music, quality of
vision, quality of the energy, detail, knowledge, smart idea,
strategy, the play with the culture, the game with the culture,
with all its shades and highlights. music produced with electronic
equipment is the average publishing profile, but this is flexible
generalisation only, our effect is hopefully beyond the styles and
is not technocratic at all. is necessary to pass by all known
schemes - such idea is of course something banal and simple, but if
all of this is done with healthy dose of irony is possible to
workout so called "own original language". there is also not
necessary to have base in big metropolis - mik.musik.!.
headquarters is positioned in tiny city of skocz≤w, in the silesia
region of southern poland, although the story originally started
some time ago somewhere in katowice. quasi-company was founded and
established probably around year 1996 by mo│r drammaz group, for
many years the main project of the label. but recently mo│r is
giving a more and more space for the new ideas and new people
involved in the label's works. seems to be, that even if releasing
new records is very important still, our focus is on pure action
and integration of ideas coming from closer and closer cooperating
people under the mik.musik.!. shield. to emanate, to scale, to mix,
to communicate. mik.!. was thinking globally and locally since it's
beginning, it was noticed very quickly far away, and recently
pretty close. more concerts, gigs, events under mik.!. title
happened outside poland, on very big festivals too. this is not the
reason for complain, but reason for nice analysis. mik.musik.!. -
it's office takes room of 3,75 square meters + unknown surfaces
around the world as filials, and this is completely enough.
mik.musik.!. is one of the most active labels in poland. and
probably the most different. amount of released titles in our
catalogue in the day of 18.08.2005 equals = 39. not numbered and
ephemeric = unknown.
