With one of the fastest compositions of their career,
Mãe Serpente releases "Fúria Sem Olhos", a track that
opens the album of the same name and works as a calling
card for the stoner metal trio's new moment. Strongly
influenced by heavy metal, the song relies on a direct
and incisive approach, demonstrating a more aggressive
sound without giving up the group's characteristic
density.
"Furia Sem Olhos" explores anger as a driving force,
highlighting its ability to drive action and
determination even in the face of adverse scenarios. The
result is a composition that balances urgency, weight
and emotional charge, reflecting an intense reading of
contemporary tensions and subjective experiences.
The production of the single included recording, mixing
and mastering carried out at Audio One Studios by Alan
Wallace, while the voices were recorded at 415 Home
Studio. Vocal preparation was in charge of Nívea Paula.
The music video that accompanies the launch was
directed, captured and edited by Felipe Cavalieri.
Fernando Dias, founder of the band, writes all the
tracks on the new work and brings influences from
classic rock and hard rock from the 1970s, reflected in
heavy riffs and lyrics that dialogue with existential
philosophy, occultism and psychology. Mário Rodrigues, a
member for four years, actively contributed to
pre-production, incorporating references ranging from
blues to extreme metal. Victor Espeschit, also guitarist
and vocalist of the death metal band Deathspit, adds
even more weight and dynamics to the trio, expanding the
band's sound range.
Formed in Vale do Aço, in Minas Gerais, Mãe Serpente is
composed of Fernando Dias, responsible for guitar,
vocals and composition, Mário Rodrigues on bass and
Victor Espeschit on drums. Since 2015, the trio has
built a solid trajectory in the Minas Gerais underground
scene. After the release of their debut in 2019, and a
break during the pandemic, the trio returns with a more
cohesive and mature proposal.
