│release notes.
Prescription is widely regarded as one of the most influential Deep
House imprints of the period, blending the Chicago and Detroit
sensibilities of its founders into something wholly unique.
Prescription, together with it's sister label Balance, introduced
the likes of Anthony Nicholson, Abacus, Glen Underground (CVO),
Moodymann, Norma Jean Bell, Joshua, Peven Everett, Rob Mello, and
Luke Solomon to the world.
The Gallery Collective consists of Ron Trent with sax performance
and composition by Norma Jean Bell (who turns in some seriously
heavy work here!). Significant release for the incorporation of
live instrumentation and complex African rhythms which would
feature again on PRES123 in collaboration with Anthony Nicholson
and would become the hallmark of the later Prescription sound (as
well as that of Clairaudience).
