│ Asian Dub Foundation - the London collective have been ││
│ together for ten years now and are as famed for the ││
│ political integrity as much as their musical integrity. Who ││
│ can forget the groups involvement with the Free Saptal Tam ││
│ campaign which culminated in the release of the 'Free Saptal ││
│ Ram' single in 1997. ││
│ ││
│ Incorporating all styles of music; Punk, Dub, Reggae, Ragga, ││
│ Pop etc, etc ADF are truly what represents multicultural ││
│ Britain. They have released three studio albums: "Facts And ││
│ Fictions" in 1996, "R.A.F.I." in 1997, and "Community Music" ││
│ in 2000, while 1998's "Conscious Party" was a collection on ││
│ the bands live performances. ││
│ ││
│ In addition to the hundreds of gigs they have played, there ││
│ have been parallel projects like ADFED (Asian Dub Foundation ││
│ Education) - an association offering disadvantaged young ││
│ people the chance to study music -and the rewriting of the ││
│ soundtrack of French film "La Haine", a movie directed by ││
│ Mathieu Kassovitz. ││
│ ││
│ ADF have also recruited two new MCs, Aktar and Spex, as well ││
│ as a new drummer and a new percussionist. ││
│ ││
