this is the first part in the five-part series in the
teichiku/imperial series named "color lounge". some of you may
recall hajime yoshizawa's "violet lounge" on solaria which
actually originated as the fifth part to the series (teci-1011).
the basic principle of this series is music that can be played
whilst being in a relaxed state of being, not necessarily in a
chill-out room.
in this volume, dj mitsuru & teruo use the alias "01" because this
music is not their standard as found on flower records ("mande
lanme ya") or lifeline records ("mi latino americano flor") but
stands in the same rich quality. most of the music focuses on the
natural beauty of organics with emphasis on melodies than beat
patterns, many would probably associate this music as 'ambient'
but it has a different approach to standard 'ambient' sounds. in
either way, this album shouldn't be regarded as a deep nor
spiritual house record but at least taken in consideration for
it's subtle beauty and departure from expectation.
the other volumes in this series include: azure lounge (little
big bee), yellow lounge (stylus & dj key), mint lounge (satoshi
from gts) and violet lounge (hajime yoshizawa).
