release notes:
Invocation Ritual unveil 'Decaying Personality' from forthcoming debut
album, 'Altered Reality', out August 14 via Iron Fortress Records on
vinyl, CD, and digital formats.
Featuring current and former members of Oxygen Destroyer, Kontusion, and
Reburied, Invocation Ritual deliver ten uncompromising tracks of death
metal. Centred around the collapse of the known world, 'Altered Reality'
explores how addiction, war, mental illness, and personal turmoil can
distort perception and reshape existence, tracing the unravelling of the
human psyche as reality and delusion begin to blur.
Rooted in death metal's classic traditions, 'Altered Reality' combines
razor-sharp riffing, fractured percussion, and scorched-earth vocal
delivery to soundtrack a descent into collapsing awareness, psychological
breakdown, and worlds distorted beyond recognition, reinforcing the
album's vision of reality eroding under internal and external pressure.
'Altered Reality' was engineered and recorded by Paul Wright (bass),
Victor Teller (vocals), and Billy Anderson (guitar and drums), with
mixing by Anderson and mastering by Greg "Earhammer" Wilkinson. The cover
art was created by Dan Bones and Anne Margrete Sj├╕flot, with logo design
by Christophe Szpajdel and photography by Taylor Franklin.
