█ █ █ 29-year-old Gerret Frerichs started playing drums at the age █ ████
█ █ █ of 7. The following 10 years he played in different bands █ ████
█ █ █ and on the other hand developped himself into an excellent █ ████
█ █ █ club-DJ. The Acid-House trend in 1988/89 let him connect his █ ████
█ █ █ DJ-activities with his own productions and dedicate his life █ ████
█ █ █ to the dance-floor in a professional way. █ ████
█ █ █ █ ████
█ █ █ He founded Humate in 1991 with original member Oliver █ ████
█ █ █ Huntemann and was shortly after joined by P. Kjonberg, who █ ████
█ █ █ represents a real musician as he did a classical piano █ ████
█ █ █ education. █ ████
█ █ █ █ ████
█ █ █ Later Kjonberg learned playing bass guitar and saxophone █ ████
█ █ █ enjoying and celebrating music from Jazz to Funk. After █ ████
█ █ █ joining different musical trips over 10 years P. Kjonberg █ ████
█ █ █ met Gerret Frerichs in Oldenburg who got him into the groove █ ████
█ █ █ of House. █ ████
█ █ █ █ ████
█ █ █ From 1991 they produced in their own studio which was based █ ████
█ █ █ at the UMP-studios at Oldenburg until 1994. Besides HUMATE █ ████
█ █ █ with the mindblowing track "Love Stimulation" (MFS) further █ ████
█ █ █ productions of Gerret are GOLDFINGER (with Steve Bug on █ ████
█ █ █ Superstition) and HOUSE OF PRINCE (Gerret solo). █ ████
█ █ █ █ ████
█ █ █ After Oliver Huntemann left Humate Gerret formed the project █ ████
█ █ █ JENS Jens Mahlstedt with their legendary "Loops ┤n █ ████
█ █ █ Tings"(Superstition; Motor Music) that must have been played █ ████
█ █ █ in nearly every clubs on the planet. Even Chart-hero Alex █ ████
█ █ █ Christensen aka PECH did a cover version of the track. █ ████
█ █ █ █ ████
█ █ █ Before moving to Hamburg Tobias Lampe of Superstition █ ████
█ █ █ brought them together with Rabbit In The Moon, a trio █ ████
█ █ █ consisting of members Confucius, Monk and Bunny, from Tampa, █ ████
█ █ █ Florida, USA. Together they created one of the most popular █ ████
█ █ █ intercontinental collaborations ever: Humate & Rabbit In The █ ████
█ █ █ Moon's "Hemispheres EP" and especially the track East, which █ ████
█ █ █ later was remixed by Rabbit In The Moon and Humate, and is █ ████
█ █ █ still known as one of the classics of trance-house. █ ████
█ █ █ █ ████
█ █ █ Within 5 years the HUMATE-project developed itself to an █ ████
█ █ █ excellent production concept with high quality-standards - █ ████
█ █ █ we're counting 24 releases in 1995 alone. █ ████
