the time has come. . . .sie has emerged from his studio with his
debut album ready to go. it definitely represents a step forward
in his adventures in sound but first things first - thereÆs a two
track 12" featuring a couple of the flavours that our boy has to
offer. how he manages to make records in the midst of his dogged
mission to buy every pair of new trainers that come off the
production line we do not know. but sie always pulls it off in his
     own inimitable style. here's the rundown. . . .

     side a - 'v-chip'

celestial screams and a booming 808 get this going with a moody,
spatial intro. then the hats drop and distant, swirling strings
step it up in both pace and emotion. electro beats filter in and
youÆre up and away on a futuristic flight - euphoric music that is
guaranteed to take you into another realm.

     side b - 'chinese elvis'

featuring the voice of jenny devivo, this shows a slightly darker
side to sie. fragmented vocals and deep hip hop beats stop and
start on an eerie, disjointed track that uncoils in staggered
movements. trademark sub-bass is going to hurt those tinny little
hi-fi's but if you're suitably equipped pussy h.q. recommends that
you remove ming vases, half-rolled spliffs and other delicate
objects from the vicinity of your bass bins.

as for the track titles, sie informs us that a 'v-chip' is a
device used in the states to prevent kids from watching particular
channels. unfortunately it is inserted into the television as
opposed to the kid which would be far more interesting. if you're
stumped by 'chinese elvis' then we shall reveal all - there is a
restaurant on the old kent road incorporating aforementioned
entertainer but the chinese elvis that sie is referring to was a
bing crosby impersonator he was engineering who actually sounded
like 'the king'. if you would like to know more sie will be
appearing on the south bank show in the near future where he is
expected to reduce melvin bragg to a blubbering wreck through his
highly tangential and thoroughly confusing track titles. donÆt
     mess with a pussyfooter melvin!!!!
