▌ This is the first instalment of the new 'split' series featuring the ▐
▌ combined forces of the Destructive and Pitch Black labels. The idea ▐
▌ is : one artist, two different flavours, and this first twelve opens ▐
▌ up with Scarecrow's "Snakes and Ladders" - a track that's been a ▐
▌ long time coming, unfurling with gnarly beats and rolling drums into ▐
▌ a messed-up beast of splintered percussion and nasty sounds. The ▐
▌ Pitch Black offering on the flip is much more spacious and tempered ▐
▌ - the snares accompanied by a lilting sci-fi piano cascade and the ▐
▌ obligatory low-end wobble to gratifying effect. Solid. ▐
