██ genres. All these artists a local artists coming from the area ██
██ of Regensburg. ██

██ This compilation is an aural insight into three years of ██
██ schinderwies productions, presenting both released and ██
██ previously unreleased material by its various artists - or ██
██ better: roommates of our house. Included are two remixes and ██
██ several recordings that were made exclusively for this album, ██
██ as well as a special video clip. ██
██ The name Schinderwies is derived from an old farmhouse outside ██
██ of regensburg, germany, where i lived and recorded a series of ██
██ cassettes in the late 90's. Then i released CD-Rs featuring ██
██ befriended musicians, and in 2002 schinderwies productions was ██
██ launched as a label with the first official CD release "plus ██
██ ganzwind" in a limited edition of 500 copies. ██
██ Since then six CDs, three LPs and two split singles have added ██
██ to a growing catalog. All of the albums are debut releases by ██
██ then-unknown artitsts coming from different musical backgrounds ██
██ who now form a very unique musical community. Besides their ██
██ fine music they have also contributed artwork and visuals on ██
██ their albums. ██
██ This stylistic spectrum of schinderwies ranges from ██
██ electronica, electro-pop and new songwriting to acoustica. ██
██ There can be a thin line betwen track and song, between ██
██ acoustic and electronic sounds. Vocals can be yet another ██
██ intrument. Schinderwies embraces music that moves in any way, ██
██ not necessarily loud or fast. Sound aesthetics are as important ██
██ as melodies and a certain pop appeal. ██
██ The goal of schinderwies was never to adapt to any existing ██
██ niche, but rather to create its own point of entry and release ██
██ music that is timeless. ██
██ The songs on this compilations not only function as seperate ██
██ tracks; altogether they form a soundtrack album to your own ██
██ personal movie. ██
