     Release Notes:

     It was no secret the Godfather of Soul loved jazz.
     Over six decades of recording, JB touched on jazz in
     a variety of projects: grooving with Louie Bellson's
     big band, a cocktail trio, or his own jazz-funk
     orchestra, which inroduced soloists Maceo Parker,
     Alfred Ellis, Fred Wesley and others. This collection
     brings together some of the best of those tracks with
     extended solos and revealing alternate mixes.
