███▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ - RELEASE NOTES - ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀███
█░ ░█
█░ "'A little less obscure, lyrically,' says frontman (and ░█
█░ former Poundcake songwriter) Clayton Scoble of his band's ░█
█░ forthcoming disc. Ha. '28 Plastic Blue Versions of Endings ░█
█░ Without You' - out Feb. 4 on Q Division - won't disappoint ░█
█░ devotees of Francine's clever wordplay or heart-tugging ░█
█░ chord changes. Scoble's been hoarding keyboards and ░█
█░ investigating sleepy tempos, and the result is (to borrow a ░█
█░ phrase) slanted and enchanted." -Boston.com blip ░█
█░ ░█
█░ "The second major project from former Poundcake songwriter ░█
█░ Clayton Scoble, Francine came together in Boston in late ░█
█░ 1997. Building on the foundation of Scoble's inherent pop ░█
█░ tendencies, Francine marks a slight deviation in the ░█
█░ formula, displaying as much of an affection for clever ░█
█░ wordplay and good old indie rock aesthetics as for catchy ░█
█░ tunes and guitar-driven pop." ░█
█░ -- Scott Janovitz, All Music Guide Blip ░█
█░ ░█
█░ Catchy, "poppy", fun, even some loungy influences (see track ░█
█░ #2) in indie rock styles. Fun stuff. ░█
