their name conjures up some horrible thoughts, whichever way you
read it. and on paper, the music could come across as being i bit,
tepid. i mean, "soulful two-step psychadelia" doesn't exactly sound
riveting does it? hang on, it does actually. sounds bloody ace, and
that is what this is. so basic but batty and lovely but lo-fi, it
could be pilote bigging it up down the local garage night. it's all
good fun music supported by touching background eccentricity and
fat hippo bass riffs. it's not going to be everyone's cup of
bovril, and at times you wonder why you like it, but it's not music
to get deep to so sod it.
