the exception to the interplay between stefan's serious creations
and miss kittin's playful contributions can't be missed on "rippin
kitten." here kittin explores the thoughts of a girl contemplating
taking a life - which as the song develops, we discover is her
own. it is a metaphor for a child who has lost their innocence.
stefan explains, "the idea originated from a discussion about how
stupid most dance lyrics are and, for once, kittin treats a
serious theme, questioning the roles of good and bad, guilt and
self-destruction. it's our favorite song on the album."
strange noise in the first track on the flipside, not sure if it's
intended or not.
