| TriFe & D-Mob are a hip-hop duo from the Bronx, New York, who |
| emerged from the city's independent underground scene in the |
| mid-1990s. In 1996, the brothers released their collaborative album |
| "Gun Town's Finest" through High Wire Records. Produced by Tone in |
| co-operation with both artists, the record embodies the raw New |
| York rap sound of its era, built around heavy drums, dark samples |
| and direct, uncompromising rhymes. Created outside the major-label |
| system and far from the mainstream spotlight, the album remains |
| firmly rooted in the aesthetics of East Coast underground hip-hop. |
| The original vinyl pressing surfaced in limited quantities and has |
| become a sought-after rarity among collectors over the years. |
| Today, "Gun Town's Finest" stands as one of those nearly forgotten |
| independent releases that offer a distinctive glimpse into New |
| York's mid-'90s hip-hop underground. |
