This is the first single after their mighty collaboration with
BOBBY WOMACK which saw them trade blows with one of their musical
heroes. BOBBY later commented that with music like this he didn't
"need no fancy studios, no $1 million dollar pay-offs, just music
from the heart, just music with soul". It saw him return to his
  considerable best.

The new RAE & CHRISTIAN album 'Sleepwalking' has more
instrumentation than their 1998 acclaimed debut 'Northern Sulphuric
Soul' as they have gradually refined their sound using less samples
than before, and it was for this reason that the favoured guest
rappers switch from East to West coast.

After going to ground in recent years, truly disillusioned by the
music industry (they claimed that they were lied to by record
company staff about how many copies of their album had actually
been sold), THE PHARCYDE were approached by Mark Rae whilst
performing at a live gig in London. After speaking with them he
knew they were right for the next RAE & CHRISTIAN project sharing
the same consciousness, and so beats were sent to their LA base.
Then Mark travelled to the legendary D&D studios in New York and
spent a very hazy weekend with Imani & Booty Brown - the two
remaining PHARCYDE members "watching them play craps". Also on hand
was Kriminul - DJ Spinna's partner in The Jigmastas - to deliver a
guest verse and become the third honorary member.

"We call ourselves THE PHARCYDE 'cause it don't set any
boundaries," said original member Tre 'Slimkid' Hardson in Rolling
  Stone back in 1992.

After their smash 1992 debut 'Bizarre Ride II THE PHARCYDE', the
original foursome poured all their frustrations with the music
business and life in general into the more mature but sonically
ambitious 'LabCabinCalifornia' - it was this album that caught Mark
Rae's ear and ended up with RAE & CHRISTIAN doing their first ever
remix - of the 1995 track 'Runnin'.

Still with that enviable High School energy, they spent years
touring live solidly shaking off images of 'hard' LA rappers and
cementing their reputation as true live hip hop masters.

Their performance at Grand Central's fifth birthday party with the
RAE & CHRISTIAN live band last May will not be forgotten in a
hurry. Locking out a capacity crowd of 2000 people @ The Ritz on a
wet Tuesday night in Manchester was truly a sight to behold. This
track 'It Ain't Nothing Like' had the crowd literally bouncing on
  the floor.

Also featured is a 'straight to the floor' remix from some of the
hottest producers in the underground UK hip hop scene û THE
NEXTMEN. A rare white label of this track had Kenny Dope going nuts
on a recent UK trip (playing it up to three times a night and
getting straight on the phone asking for more copies as soon as he
was back home!!). Jazzy Jeff & Richard Dorfmeister have also found
a permanent home for it in their box.

Completing the package is a remix from quality house bods - AT JAZZ
  - who run deep house label Mantis Recordings. AT JAZZ have produced
and remixed for a number of labels round the world gaining huge
respect along the way. Their previous remix credits include 'After'
by Dzihan & Kamien for Couch Records, Little Bi Bee ('Searchin')
for Yellow Productions and Miguel Migs ('Take Me To Paradise') on
  Naked Music.
