Patrice Baeumel released his very successful first record "Mutant
Pop" (Trapez 050) almost two years ago. It was played by many DJs
around the world and received wonderful reviews worldwide. We would
like to quote the Resident advisor online magazine "Mutant Pop''
builds in an intriguing way thanks to some smooth stabs and a smooth
set of beats.
The track then takes off when a cheeky acid line comes into the
production alongside a smooth sets of pads, making this a stunning
and addictive piece of music. Shower of Icebuilds with some filtered
percussion and a smooth bouncy baseline.... A very good way tomark a
50th release thanks to two very solid productions from Patrice.

The second 12" "Just Electricity" from the Amsterdam based artist and
resident of the prestigious Club 11, comes up with a huge post
Chicago a-side track that has a touch of "French Kiss" combined with
melodic strings, creating dramatic moments with ups and downs, never
hectic always shiny. "Just Electricity" has been charted by leading
artists in Amsterdam such as Shinedoe and DJ Darko as a huge tune for
2007.
The flipside "Fantomas" gets started stripped down with a kick and a
bouncy electro bassline but steadily moves towards a melodic climax,
which sees all hands up there andcould be seen as a follow up to
"Mutant Pop".
Patrice who's DJ sets work very much through building up tension, has
created two wonderful tracks with an universal approach, grand and
very emotional, fusing Detroit-Chicago with modern European
influences!
