The track "Doch Doch" from Extrawelt's first Traum release has now
been remixed by four artists and will be released in two parts.
The original track by the Hamburg based duo is fuelled with a heavy
driving baseline, sound stabs and an eruptive melody resulting
consequently from the build up. A powerful rocker for the dance
floor!
Part one features on its a-side a remix by Jeff Samuel, one of
Extrawelt big favourite producers. Jeff has taken Extrawelt's track
to a minimal jacking groove, the style he is famous for. He gently
takes in footage from the monumental track "Doch Doch" to maintain
a lean and funky drive, keeping it bouncy and nice.
The flipside comes by Larsson who gave his debut on Traum some months
ago with his EP "Spreemelodie". His remix brings together Detroit and
trance which result in some fine spaced out moments making the
connection to "Doch Doch" when he brings in the bassline! The track
is very hypnotic and relies on a nice sequencer rhythm giving the
track its drive.
Both sides focus on a Detroit aspect in contrast to part two being
released on the same day, as a single 12", with a separate catalogue
number.
