FIREPROOF was made in an old fire-station in Red
Hook, Brooklyn. Recorded mostly live to 2" tape
with Ray Rizzo on the drums, Jonny Flower on bass,
dawn on guitar/vocals, and Adam Lasus at the tape
machine. Dawn camped out in the studio alone for a
week doing overdubs and tinkering with various
electronics, then Gary Maurer came in to mix the
record. Bob Hoffnar, Steve Curtis, and Gary Maurer
(all members of the band HEM) added beautiful
things to the album.
