For our next release we're happy to welcome back PIGSIE from the UK
who we've been fans of for some time now. We've been working
together with these two for many years on multiple projects of
theirs, and we're glad to have them back with their latest single
'Strange Things'.
Strange Things gets moving early and stays locked there, with a
loose bassline running beneath clipped chords, sharp percussion, and
small synth details that keep shifting around the groove. As it
develops, the synth work opens up and gives the track another side,
bringing in warmer, more melodic passages without pulling it away
from the drums. The arrangement moves things in and out without
making a show of it, leaving enough space for those moments to land.
There is plenty happening, but it never feels crowded. Each part
sits where it needs to, and by the time the track starts stripping
back, the groove has already done the work.
