A host of rare recordings from southern soul producer
Quinton Claunch -- the legendary talent behind some of
the greatest work on the Goldwax label, heard here in
a host of more obscure sides from later years! The
collection features Claunch productions of a number of
male southern soul singers -- some of which appeared
on the Adventure One and Soultrax label, but brought
together here in a massively overstuffed CD. Most of
the work is from the late 70s onward, and has a
slightly more contemporary feel than Claunch's
classics -- but it all sounds great, and is a
wonderful illustration of the continuing strength of
southern soul in the underground, long after it had
faded from the mainstream.
