Releasenotes:
North American producer Local Analyst returns to Blank Code with his
'Desperation' EP after emerging over the past few years as a
compelling new voice in quality techno music. His back catalogue also
contains releases on respected labels including Edit Select Records,
Analogue Network, Joton's Newrhythmic, Berlin's PHTM, and Slovenia's
Cogo.
"Careless" opens the EP with its throbbing sub bass and flickering
percussion wrapped up in dystopian harmonics and standout, metallic
shimmers that bend and warp for an ethereal feeling.
Next up, "Looking Ahead" opts for a bubbling, raw, analogue groove at
its core. Abstract, static effects begin to take centre stage for a
sci-fi inducing trip of mental and machine-like rhythms.
Third on offer, "Palm Lines" begins its modular adventure with a
delicate, swirling aesthetic, creating tension that draws attention
and patiently develops into a moody, cinematic soundscape.
"The Way" completes the package of four original works. Its energetic
from the off, using a rolling rhythm of stuttering percussion and
bellowing modular notes to create unique intensity in a futuristic,
space-like void of tubular, cerebral satisfaction.
