Mortis Mutilati returns with Death Worshippers, a new
album as personal as it is visceral, due out on February
21, 2026.
Recorded at home by Macabre, then mixed and mastered at
Endarker Studio in Sweden by Devo Andersson, Death
Worshippers perpetuates the band's independent spirit,
remaining true to its self-production approach. Mortis
Mutilati forges its own path, building its reputation
far from the well-trodden paths of contemporary Black
Metal.
The album delves into Macabre's fascination with and
morbid devotion to death, expressed with brutal and
unvarnished sincerity. Here, nothing is staged, nothing
is feigned, everything is real.
Musically, Death Worshippers reveals a new facet of
Mortis Mutilati. Between traditional Black Metal and 80s
punk and hard rock influences, the work exudes an
instinctive and unsettling energy.
The album also features prestigious guests: Vordb, an
iconic figure of the Black Legions, and Andy Dean of
Sleazy Town.
Death Worshippers is a macabre celebration of death that
retains all the darkness characteristic of Mortis
Mutilati, while asserting an intensity and style that
proves the project is capable of reinventing itself and
exploring new, macabre horizons with each album.
