release notes:
Aetherfrost is a one-man band from Chile, formed in 2025. Blending
melodic death metal with symphonic, black metal, and folk elements.
The Sorrow and The Stillness (Ad Infinitum In Solitudine) is a journey
through despair, death, grief, regret, and hope, told from two
perspectives of the same story.
The first part follows a soul consumed by sorrow, slowly surrendering to
darkness and believing that eternal stillness will bring peace. The
second part reveals another perspective, exploring the silence and
emptiness that remain, and the consequences of a life that has come to an
end.
Across eight songs, both narratives mirror each other through recurring
imagery of night, stars, snow, time, and silence. Each pair reveals
another facet of the same tragedy, as the story gradually moves from
darkness toward the possibility of light.
The Sorrow and The Stillness is not just a story about death, but about
what remains afterward: memories, absence, regret, and ultimately, the
search for meaning.
