Dark, melancholic and firmly rooted in the traditional
Black Metal sound, this release from Blodørn delivers a
cold and atmospheric experience from start to finish.
The tracks are tightly structured and flow naturally,
making the album an easy and rewarding listen without
ever becoming predictable.
The guitars are sharp and cutting, carrying that icy
Black Metal edge while still leaving enough room for the
darker, more melancholic passages to breathe.
The production is tight but wisely avoids becoming
overly polished. There is still a rawness and organic
character to the sound, which fits the music perfectly.
Nothing feels unnecessarily modern or overproduced,
everything serves the atmosphere.
Blodørn have created a release that feels traditional,
dark and sincere. Sharp guitars, melancholic melodies,
solid songwriting and just the right amount of rawness
make this a very fitting record for the band. A cold and
well-crafted Black Metal journey that simply works.
