release notes:
"Wizard Tattoo creates genre-defying music that blends doom, stoner rock,
jazz, black metal and grunge. With their music, Wizard Tattoo captivates
with haunting melodies, heavy riffs, and introspective lyrics inspired by
comics, horror, and fantasy. Their DIY approach showcases their
commitment, balancing heaviness and melody for an unforgettable
experience."
Immerse yourself in the dark, fantasy-laden realms of Wizard Tattoo with
their latest EP, One of These Knives. Crafted by multi-instrumentalist
Bram the Bard, this release harkens back to the raw energy of their
debut, seamlessly blending doom, stoner metal, and psych rock with
intricate storytelling.
The EP kicks off with the electrifying "Varsak of Man," featuring the
dynamic vocals of Fausto Aurelius, setting an intense tone for what's to
come. Dive deeper with "A Wizard's Blade," a psych-infused journey
highlighted by the ethereal contributions of Djinnifer. Revisit familiar
themes in "My Second Knife Fight," a compelling sequel to the
fan-favorite "Wizard Knife Fight (At a Bar)," enhanced by additional
vocals from Fausto Aurelius and Brick Diesel. The journey culminates with
"Edge of Reprisal," an instrumental masterpiece that leaves a lasting
impression through its haunting melodies.
Influenced by legendary acts like Danzig, High on Fire, UFO, Kyuss,
Mastodon, and Primus, One of These Knives pushes genre boundaries and
invites you into a world where fantasy and reality intertwine.
"There's a stunning amount of vision, variety, and experimentation which
is desperately lacking in today's oversaturated Stoner/Doom scene and
which consequently makes this such a brilliantly engaging listen." -
Clean Sheets
"One Of These Knives is the second EP from Wizard Tattoo this year and
showcases once again why they're a band on the right creative path on
becoming more well known within the underground scene." - Outlaws of the
