adam beyer was born 1976, raised and still living in stockholm,
sweden. he started playing the drums at the age of 9, and has
since then allways been fascinated with rhythms and percussive
sounds.
after hearing radio djs at the age of 12, he decided to try it
himself on his quest for becoming a dj. he started with playing
hip hop, house and hip house at the local youth clubs in his area.
after finding his first techno 12inch, around 1990, he immedietly
knew in wich direction he should evolute four years later he
released his first 12inch, together with peter benisch.
after that he met cari lekebusch and glenn wilson at planet
rhythm, also located in stockholm......
there was bound to be happening more things. adam started to workk
for the planet rhythm label and record store. after many releases
on different labels around the globe, under names as genecom,
waveslaves, 2bonk and off course his own, he decided that it was
time to try to stand solid and started his own label in 1996,
called drumcode. the basic concept behind his label is to release
a constand flow of banging techno. listen for yourself.
