Release Notes:

James Lavelle's brainchild, electronic ensemble
UNKLE, enlisted some special guests to help tell
some War Stories. You can hear them yourself when
the long-awaited record arrives in stores on July 24
through Lavelle's Surrender All label.

The Cult's Ian Astbury sings the first single, "Burn
My Shadow," and album closer "When Things Explode."
Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme contributes to
"Restless," The Duke Spirit appear on "May Day,"
Autolux can be heard on "Versions & Machinery,"
Massive Attack's 3D adds to "Twilight" and Gavin
Clark guests on "Keys To The Kingdom" and "Broken."
Jeordie White and Nada Surf's Matthew Caws also
helped out.

Lavelle makes his vocal debut on "Hold My Hand" and
in a duet with Richard File on "Morning Rage."
Lavelle co-produced the album with Chris Goss
(Kyuss, QOTSA) and recorded part of it at Rancho De
La Luna Studio in Joshua Tree, California.

War Stories, which features artwork by 3D, will also
be available as a limited-edition two-disc set
featuring an instrumental version of the album.

Though War Stories is UNKLE's first album since
2003's Never, Never, Land, the U.K.-based Lavalle
has been occupied with some high profile remix jobs
for the likes of Oasis, Queens Of The Stone Age and
Depeche Mode.

UNKLE will play across Europe and Japan this summer
and will tour North America with a full band for the
first time in the fall.
