Release Notes:
Simon Bookish is one of the UK's most unusual
artists, effectively fusing new wave pop and electro
with a background in modern classical and
experimental music, treading a fine line between
dance floor sensation and performance art chaos.
Meanwhile, his lyrics reference literature and
visual art, taking in everything from Euripides to
Bruce Nauman.
In the last 18 months, he has become notorious for
his exuberant live shows, having supported the likes
of Gravy Train!!!, Angie Reed and Avenue D, at
venues ranging from the Whitechapel Art Gallery to
the Queens of Noize night at the Barfly to name but
a few.
Bookish has also collaborated with dark garage act
Syntax n Turbo and remixed Franz Ferdinands Michael,
released by Domino as the b-side to the single of
the same name.
