The dead do not disappear. They remain beneath the mud. Born in the
underground extreme metal scene of Cuba in the early 1990s and forged
further in Switzerland, Sectarium returns with Mud Teeth, its second
studio album and its darkest descent yet.
Nine tracks of raw death-doom, built from weight, decay and atmosphere.
The guitars remain harsh and uncompromising, while layered vocal
arrangements occasionally open the music into something darker, deeper
and unexpectedly grand.
Mud Teeth crawls through ancient pagan cults, forgotten deities and
corrupted echoes of biblical and Babylonian mythology. Its world is
inhabited by things that should have remained buried - where faith
becomes ritual, ritual becomes madness, and the earth eventually swallows
everything.
This is not an album about darkness. It is an album from inside it.
Sectarium is led by original member Oliva, joined by Doomslayer on vocals
and guitars. Decades after the band's first steps in Cuba, Mud Teeth
continues the path of a band that has never followed trends or sought
easy recognition. Just underground metal. Raw. Ancient. Diseased.
