Northern Void Records proudly presents "Invocations," the sophomore
full-length album from anonymous blackened death metal band, Lamenting
Satanas. "Invocations" marks an evolution in Lamenting Satanas' dynamic
and abrasive sound, weaving in folk-inspired passages, classical guitar,
and an eclectic array of instruments-including tablas, steel tongue
drums, lutes, lamellophones, rainsticks, and various custom percussion.
This progression, paired with their signature scorching riffs, pummeling
drums, and venomous, razor-sharp vocals, offers a refreshing take on a
genre in dire need of revitalization. While maintaining the coldest wave
of frozen atmosphere throughout, the album reaches its peak with the
final track, 'Invocations: Light Take Me,' a 10-minute epic closer that
is as captivating as it is grandiose. With "Invocations," Lamenting
Satanas summons a storm of sound and spirit-both a reckoning and a
