   release notes:
Dutch death metal band Written in Blood is thrilled to announce the
release of The Final War, their highly anticipated new EP. The EP
promises to leave an indelible mark on the death metal scene with its
unique blend of crushing heaviness and historical horror.
Written in Blood has created a release that pushes boundaries musically
and thematically. Their sound captures the raw power of old-school death
metal while exploring profound themes of ancient pagan gods reclaiming
their land and the ultimate defeat of monotheism.
Mixed and mastered by Henry Satler, The Serpent King Himself and
godfather of the band God Dethroned, the EP delivers a sonic experience
that combines blistering aggression with a dark and haunting atmosphere.
The release features punishing riffs, guttural vocals and a massive
production that will appeal heavily to fans of Obituary and Bolt Thrower.
Frontman and bassist Bert "Beef" Hoving explains that they wanted to
deliver a sound that is both haunting and crushing, capturing the dark
historical atmosphere that drives the entire EP.
Written in Blood first emerged in 2019 under the guidance of former God
Dethroned bassist Bert "Beef" Hoving. They have since continued to evolve
with their self-titled debut album in 2022 and their previous 2026 EP
'The Widows Web'. The Final War marks a new chapter for the band as they
expand their vision and carve their path in the death metal genre.
