Pleasant Systems label head Tilman returns to his own stable with the full
length record The Spirit Continues for ostensible dancefloor pleasure. The
German producer has honed his craft since at least 2008 and here breaks
from the assumed EPs and singles format so common to dance music for a
full-length foray into every cross-section of disco, deep house,
proto-garage and Chicago house. A faithful recreation of a convergent set
of classic sounds, this one predominantly draws inspiration from 80s Nu
Groove-era trax, embracing a raw yet dreamy aesthetic throughout. Across
the ten tracks Tilman employs sturdy, jacking rhythm sections, ethereal
atmospherics, bumpy bass lines, shimmering chord sequences, infectious
vocals and enchanting top lines, culminating in somatic ecstasy.
     enjoy!
