Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Picture This, the landmark debut album from
Chicago rap group Do or Die. Originally released in 1996, Picture This helped
introduce the group's signature combination of rapid-fire flows, melodic
delivery and smooth Midwest production to a worldwide audience.
The album is best known for the platinum-selling classic 'Po Pimp,' featuring
fellow Chicago legend Twista and Johnny P, a defining '90s Midwest hip-hop
record that helped put Do or Die on the national map. Throughout the album, Belo
Zero, AK-47 and N.A.R.D. deliver street narratives and slick, fast-paced rhymes
over soulful, laid-back production that established a sound distinctly their
own.
A cornerstone of Chicago hip-hop and the legendary Rap-A-Lot Records catalog,
Picture This remains one of the defining Midwest rap albums of the 1990s.
