SLG aka Lukasz Seliga is one of PolandÆs rising minimal techno producers and
live performers. Hailing from Lodz, Poland, he has been producing electronic
music from his early teenage years, focused on performing live sets. Over time,
Lukasz gained respect as a one of the top minimal-techno performers in the
Polish underground. SLG has developed his unique style, blending raw minimal
techno, funky grooves, and glitch/IDM inspired sound design. He tries to avoid
monotony and tries to translate different moods into the language of music,
whilst at the same time to keep his style original. PolandÆs SLG has been making
waves with his last few releases and now delivers his finest work to date
entitled the Slapback EP. The A-side, "Slap back" is a peak time, funk packed
Rave destroyer with all the right moves. Shuffled grooves, doubled kick drums,
slick edits and a monster hook equals a prime time bomb. Tried tested and true,
this cut is sure to raise the roof. "Fridge Funk" takes things slightly deeper
on the B-side but follows suit to "Slapback" in itÆs ability to peak and burn a
dancefloor. Layers of swinging percussion build up to a deep melody that
breathes and filters up to the essence of funk, purely expressed in the monster
bassline. To cut it short, this selection is simply massive and is sure to be
part of your soundtrack to many a summer night sessions.
