New York-based artist Evan Michael makes his debut on Heimlich Musik
with the Kind Of Alpha EP, a collection that seamlessly blends driving
house rhythms with deep, atmospheric soundscapes. Following the
label's tradition of showcasing a diverse set of electronic music,
this release presents two original tracks alongside two remixes by
Alberto Melloni and Johannes Klingebiel.
The title track, Kind Of Alpha, establishes a commanding presence with
its steady, rolling percussion and intricate synth layers. It is a
track that balances late-night club energy with a sense of melodic
introspection. Chameleonic offers a shifting sonic landscape that
lives up to its name. The track evolves through hypnotic textures and
a warm, pulsating bassline, creating a bridge between deep house and
more experimental electronica.
Alberto Melloni reimagines Kind Of Alpha by emphasizing its rhythmic
core, stripping back certain elements to create a more minimal,
groove-focused version suited for peak-time dance floors.
Returning to the label, Johannes Klingebiel delivers a remix that
injects his signature style-floating between darkness and optimism.
His interpretation adds playful synthesizers and a vintage, analog
warmth to the original's foundation.
With Kind Of Alpha, Evan Michael demonstrates his understanding of
dance floor dynamics, delivering a debut that is both intimate and
ready for the club.
