Polish Death Metal band Throneum return on October 16,
2026 with Love Is the Law But Death Is the Frame, issued
by Godz Ov War Productions on LP, CD and cassette. The
six-track release is presented by the label as
"Nightmarish Death Metal," a description consistent with
the band's increasingly cryptic and unsettling
direction.
The record was tracked primarily between June 2025 and
May 2026, with earlier drum and guitar recordings from
2021 used for the closing composition,
"Eve-Salome-Judith-Rehab." Tomasz Riedel wrote the music
and lyrics and handled production, engineering and
mixing, while Eroc mastered the album. Additional vocals
come from Christiane Thomaßen.
Its track titles, including "The True Story," "The
Fallen Ones" and "Death Is Only the Frame," suggest a
thematic preoccupation with desire, religious imagery
and mortality. "The True Story" is available ahead of
release, offering an initial point of entry into the
material without presuming to describe the entire album
before it is heard.
The cover reproduces Salome (1920) by Luis Icart, with
additional graphics credited to Thanatophilic
Obscurities. For an underground band with a long history
of pushing Death Metal towards uncomfortable extremes,
this is a release worth documenting rather than reducing
to a brief announcement.
