 ▌ "Monsters" is a track from the main man himself, Emalkay. The track  ▐
 ▌ rolls on a very aggressive edge with powerful beats, solid bass and  ▐
 ▌ many gunshots. With his tracks being supported by the likes of Mary  ▐
 ▌ Anne Hobbs, Plastician, DJ Distance, Zane Lowe and Freq Nasty, it is ▐
 ▌ clear that this Birmingham bass man is one serious talent. On the    ▐
 ▌ flip is "Overshine", a track from After Dark. After Dark consist of  ▐
 ▌ four heads - Phazeman, DJ Skeeze, DJ Shy and Toxin. "Overshine" is   ▐
 ▌ grimey, low and next level.                                          ▐

 ▌ First release on Boka's new "Boka Juniors" series, though this       ▐
 ▌ double-fronted assault courtesy of Emalkay and After Dark is just    ▐
 ▌ about as heavy as any of the biggest releases on Boka proper.        ▐
 ▌ Emalkay's "Monsters" takes over A-side operations here with another  ▐
 ▌ massive Grime reduction, a filthy arrangement of broken stabs and    ▐
 ▌ relentless propulsion - you couldn't really describe this track as   ▐
 ▌ anything other than nasty. In the best sense, of course. After Dark  ▐
 ▌ take care of the flip with a similarly noxious effort, "Overshine"   ▐
 ▌ possessing a metallic quality that's only weighed down by the        ▐
 ▌ ridiculously proportioned bassline that dominates proceedings.       ▐
