Mathias has despite his young age(30) managed to be become quiet a name
here in .no, playing in bands like Jaga Jazzist & Trondheim Jazzorchestra,
also lent his notes to Thomas Dybdal, Manu Katche, Chick Corea & Pat
Metheny.
In New York this year he got The Worlds Best Young(under 30) Jazztalent
award from IJFO & IAJE(International Jazz Festivals Organisations &
International Association for Jazz Education). In addition to the 20.000USD
he got a invitation to the following festivals; Montreux Jazz
Festival(Switzerland), Montreal Jazz Festial(Canada) & Monterey Jazz
Festival(USA).
He is now touring with what he has described as his dream band, the first
concert they had was in Studio 19 at NRK in Oslo.
It was aired live at Friday 13th(!!) July.
