Release Notes:
Molde Jazzfestival kicked off this years
festival on the 16th of July, the main festival
composer is Terje Rypdal, a fantastic
guitarist/composer who has no less than 4 big
concert during this festival.
The opening concert were Bleak House, the
material taken from Rypdals album by the same
name that came out in 1968. This is the first
time the album is played live.
To this concert he brought with him 3 of the
original crew from the studio recordings;
Knut Risnes - Tenorsax & Leader of Orchestra
Terje Venaas - Bass
John Kristensen - Drums
Risnes were also band leader & arranger during
the recording days.
In addition to the above he also had the "Cream
of the Crop" from Trondheim Jazzorchestra
backing him up, and;
Palle Mikkelborg - Trumpet
Staale Storloekken- Keys
They only aired 4 songs from the gig, we can
only hope the entire concert will be aired at
some point. The songs are;

02- Soronity (arr Risnes)
03- The Curse (arr Heggdal)
04- Oernen (arr Heggdal
Only the first 2 songs are part of the original
recording.
