shadow likes to tinker around at the margins of hip-hop, producing
nuggets of space age funk perfectly suited to the bricoleur
aesthetic that has always motored the genre's most creative music.
the beats here never clamor for attention, but insert themselves
into the skin of the mix, and the ghostly, distant vocal stylings
are deliberately obscured by the gravelly drums and half-heard
film samples.
