▌ RELEASE NOTES: ▐
▌ Born 20 June 1982 at West London hospital in Hammersmith, Example ▐
▌ attended All Saints Primary School in Fulham High Street. He later ▐
▌ went on to attend ADT College, Wandsworth. Aged 15, Example entered ▐
▌ a rap battle at a house party in Shepherds Bush and in his own words ▐
▌ "completely destroyed a useless wanker and a fight broke out so he ▐
▌ sprinted home". ▐
▌ ▐
▌ In 2000, Example attended Royal Holloway University, London to study ▐
▌ film directing. While at University, Example started garage MCing to ▐
▌ make some money. It was during this period that Example met Rusher, ▐
▌ the producer with whom he would later go on to work with. Example ▐
▌ and Rusher made a concept album in the audio booth of the University ▐
▌ film department. ▐
▌ ▐
▌ After graduating in 2001, Example emigrated to Australia for a year ▐
▌ where he "did lots of landscape gardening and work on scaffolding, ▐
▌ met a loada idiots with mullets, learnt a lot about himself and ▐
▌ BBQs, grew his hair and learnt to surf on his last day in the ▐
▌ country". ▐
▌ ▐
▌ "What We Made" is set to be the first studio album released by ▐
▌ Example. The album was initially due for release in June 2007, as ▐
▌ stated on the back of the "We Didnt Invent The Remix" sleeve, ▐
▌ however it seems as if the album has been delayed and is due for ▐
▌ release in September 2007. It will include the singles "You Cant ▐
▌ Rap", "I Dont Want To" and "What We Made", all of which were ▐
▌ released in the year leading up the album. Though "I Don't Want To" ▐
▌ and "So Many Roads" (another track previewed on his MySpace and ▐
▌ live) feature samples of old songs, Example stated in a Metro ▐
▌ article that he does not want to be seen as a rapper who merely ▐
▌ covers songs and thus will try to distance himself from this style ▐
▌ of music. ▐
