As featured in Transport 6 (mixed by
Trendroid) this is The first release on
Metrouble Recordings, founded by Atlanta's
very own Brett Long and Roberto Torreggiani,
is one to please. Ralphi Rosario and Martin
Fry have put together a progressive house
track that doesn't really fit into any genre,
an equation that is quite 'a la mode'
nowadays.
The original mix is a personal favorite, with
its hauntingly beautiful Portugese female
vocals and a much housier arrangement. This
track builds wonderfully with its dark
bassline stabs not showing face until halfway
through the record, its piano chord stabs
that at one point remind me of a classic
house sound, and its driving percussion that
is kept minimal and strong throughout.
The B-side, Ralphi's Dub Groove Mix, touches
on a much more tech-house feel, which will
still do the trick if used as a bridge track
at a fairly energetic, yet deep point in a
set.
