█ █▓░█ From listening to his songs youÆd never guess that █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ Scott Matthews was born in Wolverhampton. His █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ striking vocals are far more reminiscent of Jeff █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ Buckley than, say, Noddy Holder. But itÆs no surprise █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ that Matthews manages to sound progressively █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ different to most of his contemporaries ù who █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ wouldnÆt after immersing themselves in the songs of █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ Marc Bolan and Led Zeppelin while growing up? █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ His debut album, Passing Stranger was released in █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ 2006. The album showcased a refreshing mix of folk █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ and blues songs, and featured a number of eclectic █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ backing musicians such as Sukvinder Singh Namdhari █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ (who has previously played alongside Ry Cooder). █░▓█ █

█ █▓░█ This year, Scott won a prestigious Ivor Novello Award █░▓█ █
█ █▓░█ for his song æElusiveÆ ù beating Arctic Monkeys in █░▓█ █
