│ Spirallianz's Blast Foodis for those of you who enjoy delving into the │
│ Dark Side, and who also tend to stay there for long periods of time. Not │
│ recommended for those with histories of heart failure. │
│ Hailing from Germany, Spirallianz have put out one of the heaviest │
│ pieces of music I've heard this year. If you enjoyed The Delta, you'll │
│ take to this one like a bong to water. Full, deep, pounding bass │
│ characterizes this album, along with some of the best percussion I've │
│ heard. Although some of the tracks become repetitive and lose most of │
│ their energy, there are a few gems that stand out. I'd have to say my │
│ favorites are One Way Ltd., Heiterheute rmx, and especially Shaolin │
│ Shufflefor its bongo-frenzied rhythm. │
│ All in all, this is a more-than-decent album for those of us who like │
│ dark, agressive music. Pretty straightforward and to the point, this │
│ album lets you know where it stands right away. Good, but not great, due │
│ to a few similar songs that all go nowhere. But if bass is your thing, │
│ look no further, cause this one packs a punch. │
