█▀░░ PsyCZ group was formed in spring 2001 by its first three members ... ░░▀█
█▀░ But as every group grows and gets new members, new people joined PsyCZ ░▀█
█▀░ to help us in our mission. Our main common loved genere was psychedelic ░▀█
█▀░ ... of course, but everone of us likes several more genres. This caused, ░▀█
█▀░ that several members began to demand releasing other music styles such ░▀█
█▀░ as ambient, drum&bass and few more ... So we realized, that our original ░▀█
█▀░ name PsyCZ is a little uncomfortable, because it highlights our psy - ░▀█
█▀░ sight. After few days of debates we decided to found new sub-group ... ░▀█
█▀░ and here we are ... PsyCZ_NP will bring you plenty of non psychedelic ░▀█
█▀░ music ... especially ambient, but some other genres are planned too. ░▀█
█▀░ Why did we decide for non-psy? Changing of the group name isn't possible ░▀█
█▀░ so possibilities we had was only adding a suffix to current group name ░▀█
█▀░░ ... so have chosen non-psy, because it's clearest and most fluent ... ░░▀█

█▀║ line from Jimi Hendrix's song "Room Full Of Mirrors". A roomful of ║▀█
█▀║ mirrors, with its implication of multiple reflections, is also a ║▀█
█▀║ marvellous metaphor for the echoic world of electronic music heard ║▀█

█▀║ Norway's DJ scene. Knudsen is a composer who works frequently in ║▀█
█▀║ theatre projects, with choreographers and with performance artists. ║▀█
█▀║ Information's debut album was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy. ║▀█

█▀║ Phonophani: "The Unearthed Gadget". Alog's Sommer Eide by another ║▀█
█▀║ name. As Phonohani he has previously recorded for Biosphere's Biophon ║▀█

█▀║ Duplo: "Over Himling". Jon Ovstedal, Gaute Sortland and Andreas Meland ║▀█

█▀║ A Threatened Logical Unit: "Skewed". Oivind Idso describes "Skewed" as ║▀█
█▀║ a final attempt to bridge elements of the Detroit scene with his own, ║▀█

█▀║ Arne Nordheim: "Fonofonier". The pioneer of electronic music in ║▀█
█▀║ Norway. His piece in this anthology derives from an outdoor ║▀█
█▀║ installation where a collection of randomly selected soundscapes ║▀█
█▀║ continually change in response to local weather conditions. The music ║▀█
█▀║ can thus never be the same twice. ║▀█

█▀║ Monolight: "Spiritstalker". Monolight is rune grammofon founder Rune ║▀█
█▀║ Kristofferson with the first piece of his own music that he's put out ║▀█

█▀║ Transformed" session. This is Helge Sten's sonic retranslation of ║▀█

█▀║ Plirk: "Cellofruit". Plirk is a multi-discipline arts collective ║▀█

█▀║ string instruments, as well as electronic keyboards and field ║▀█

█▀║ the keyboardist from multi-platinum pop band A-ha, but even at the ║▀█

█▀║ interests as sculptor, painter and experimental musician. Here he's ║▀█
█▀║ heard with composer Ketil Bjerkestrand in a different mix of a ║▀█
█▀║ selection from their collaborative album "Hermetic." ║▀█

█▀║ Marhaug/Rishaug: "00:00 - 3:16". Lasse Marhaug is the long-time ║▀█
█▀║ electronics/noise master behind the Jazzassin label with many ║▀█
█▀║ underground projects to his credit - more than 100 releases in the ║▀█
█▀║ last ten years. Alexander Rishaug is a painter, photographer, musician ║▀█
█▀║ and composer based in the city of Trondheim. This track is taken from ║▀█
█▀║ a series of improvisations made after midnight in January 1998: ║▀█
