Release Notes:
Although the name lends the idea that the band is a black eye, a bruise and
Andrew W.K rolled into one, Tough Guys Take Over is nothing of the sort. A
product of their many influences, Tough Guys Take Over is as hard to classify
genre-wise as Ben Folds, but everyone can relate to songs like the title track
of their new E.P "Shy Away", which is about a scene kid looking forward to the
encore of a show. A girl catches his eye at the height of the show as he pushes
through a crowd of electric people focused elsewhere to engage her. He never has
his say ultimately because he "shy's away" from first contact. Also featured on
the E.P is "Your First Love" which is about the first love of an individual who
reflects on the past with a good friend in detail.
