-----------------------
Life seems full of hopeless dreams, mainly because of the fear
that drives us away from following them. The beautiful sight of
witnessing a heartfelt pursuit of a dream inspires us all to long
for more. Since the words of his first song scribbled on a
notebook, Mark Wagner has truly followed the pull of his heart.
Mark offers a lively and realistic look on life. Through his deep
faith and strong foundation for truth in a world full of lies, Mark,
in a calm and defined way, embodies the hurt, joy, hope, and
mysteries of our lives. Maybe the stars fall into perfect alignment
or the sun shines extra brighter when the feelings of his soul transfer
to show-and-tell form for his listeners to come and see.
MarkÆs first solo project ôWhile IÆm Hereö has enabled him to
jumpstart his solo music career. Engineer, producer, and friend
Ben MCamis and Mark came together with an array of talented
musicians to fully express the music. ôFor me the creativity involved
with this record was my favorite part.ö Mark explains, ôBen and I
had the opportunity to put our heads together and turn the songs into
something I could never have imagined sitting in my room writing
them.ö This record is a compilation of deep lyrics, soft acoustics,
and full sound. Listening to one track causes you to throw your hands
in the air and dance, while others may bring you to tears.
The last year has been spent playing in cafes, bars, gymnasiums, camps,
or anyplace with an audience to listen. Rocking a crowd with the full band
rendition of ôMore Than Crazyö or serenading them with a stripped
down acoustic version of ôYou Aloneö, Mark leaves an audience wanting
more. Whether the crowd is 5 or 500, MarkÆs natural vocals and smooth
melodies draw them to his music. After the shows are over and the crowd
disperses, the man left wrapping chords and carrying speakers understands
that there is more to this life and more to share with his fans than his stylish
good looks and witty sense of humor. ôYou know a dear friend once told
me that itÆs not about me,ö Mark states, ôand I hope my music offers
something more to others.ö
