▌ The Kingpin is a north London based rapper who brings his ▐
▌ experiences of the streets, and council estates of London into his ▐
▌ music, using real lyrics for real music, currently composing and ▐
▌ performing UK hip hop. He first started writing lyrics as a drum and ▐
▌ bass mc in '97 which then progressed, leading him to the garage ▐
▌ scene where he began to get bookings in and around the London night ▐
▌ clubs. This led to him gaining several residency spots helping him ▐
▌ build a following of support. His involvement in music has given him ▐
▌ the opportunity to perform both in the UK and abroad. Kingpin spent ▐
▌ two summer seasons in Ayia Napa entertaing at the top bars and clubs ▐
▌ to large crowds on a daily basis and working with some of the ▐
▌ biggest names in the circuit. He was spotted by channel 4 music ▐
▌ while he was performing which led to him being shown on Flava, a ▐
▌ music television programme. His music has also been played on choice ▐
▌ 107.1 fm during jigs drive time show, where it received positive ▐
▌ feedback from all listeners that called in. Since entering the ▐
▌ UK-hip hop game, he's featured on two underground DVDs and began ▐
▌ creating his debut album Above the Influence which is produced by Mr ▐
▌ Phillips of LA productions. ▐
